Anyone run farm or personal on heavy trucks?

In Iowa I am pretty sure you can run anywhere in the state with farm tags and up to 150 air miles if you cross state lines. 150 air miles could equal 200 road miles pretty easy alot of times. If crossing state lines you would need a trip permit for that state to be legal. As far as justifying...

    Broken hydraulic cylinders

I can understand breaking one cylinder but all three!!!! I feel like that would take some effort.

    Unplanned time off!!!

90 days is what they originally told me. It happened on superbowl sunday and I think it has been about 3 weeks since the last time I wore it. Things have been going pretty good. I'm far from 100% but it seems to be slowly improving. I have been trying to be careful but I am afraid it is only a...

Farmall 656D not charging, diagnosing Delco Remy generator and regulator

I don't mean to hijack your thread..... I'm curious what can actually go bad on a regulator? Do the springs get weak? There just doesn't seem like there is much to them yet I hear about them going bad quite often.

    Moving a Cat 15 miles

$1000 to move a 931 15 miles?? Holy Crap!! Just load her up early on a sunday morning and take it easy. Trust me there are people out on the road doing alot worse things than that all day every day.

    Hitches

I have broken bones that have not hurt as bad as running into a receiver hitch at full stride!!! That particular one is sticking out way too far.

    Cheap lazer

I think Spectra Precision has a fairly cheap magnetic receiver. I have one that has a pretty strong magnet. It has a lever to release the magnet but for the life of me I can't remember what brand it is. IIRC I paid @ $700 for it.

    Damn you, Milwaukee

X3^ Most of the time I use an 8ah battery on mine. When it is dead I have had enough as well. Pretty good match for me.

    Terex 82-30,

That machine is not far from me. He mostly deals in skid loaders and smaller excavators. Lately I have noticed he has had some larger machines advertised. If you google BC Murphy Enterprises you can get to his website.

    PC200-7 Main Relief Valve – 723-40-51102 vs 723-40-91102

My parts book shows 723-40-91101. The book is for PC200-7 sn# 200,008 and up. Although they have prob changed part #'s a time or two since the book was printed.

    Cat D4D Questions

A neighbor of mine has a D4D with the same or at least similar blade setup. It has been a few years sense I have seen it. It is a direct drive machine as well. I feel like the hoses for the lift cylinders were routed a different way than the OP pics. A previous owner added a tilt cylinder and a...

    Farm use excavator

Hydraulic thumbs are nice and for the most part better than a manual thumb. Alot of hydraulic thumbs are set to 'break away' so you don't damage the cylinder with bucket force. That can be a little annoying when handling big trees at times. I personally wouldn't let a manual thumb be a 'deal...

    Parking the excavator

Is it a mini excavator? I couldn't even imagine moving my 20 ton excavator home everytime there is a chance of rain!! Hell mine would spend more time on the trailer than working if I did that.

    PC200LC-8 battery drain

I have an Associated load tester that seems to work pretty good. I can't remember what I paid for it but it wasn't cheap.

    New guy no clue

The comment I made on the undercarriage had to do with the sprockets looked pretty sharp and the front idler being out towards the end of it's adjustment. It prob has quite a few hours left on it but keep it in the back of your mind.
