I worked in Norman Wells for a month one winter and got talking with the girl the drove the crummy. She said that they didn't close the schools down until the temp dropped to -52 and they had to walk to school.

To remove a link or not

The track adjustment on my 6c is at the end and the right side keeps falling off and the rail rides on the center of the rollers. The cat doesn't have rock guards but I a friend has some 1/2 guards. Apparently they go about 1/2 the length of the track and being open let's the rocks and trash...

Has anyone run john deere 850 tracks on a d6c. It looks like the pitch and pin size are the same. There is a difference in rail height

    D6c roller wear.

Does anyone have the measurements to gage wear on the rollers on a d6c? I have to replace the single flange roller by the drive sprocket and was wondering how to gage the rest of my undercarriage. Have any of you guys tried ordering undercarriage from the online stores in korea or China?

    D6c blade tilts

Here is what I came up with. The tilts are from a komatsu. I welded the komatsu to the 6c trunions on the blade and used the komatsu pin on on the side arms

    What’s a d6c worth.

I paid 9000 for a good 74a with a poor undercarriage last fall. Around here a decent 6c runs 20 to 30 thousand

    D6c blade tilts

Here are some pictures. The top of the turnbuckle threads are stripped and has been welded. The bottom one is still serviceable.

    D6c blade tilts

It's pretty common. Dirt gets into the threads and they wear over time.

That's correct the top end of the threaded adjuster is stripped.

    D6c blade tilts

The treads for the tilts on my 6c are stripped. Just wondering if anyone had a fix for this other than finding a new set of tilts

Its that time of year. Lets discuss ether.

A spark or a match won't light diesel fuel. Die Hard 2 comes to mind when apparently the leaking jet fuel is lit with a lighter and travels along the spill all the way to blow up the plane. Jet fuel is mixed with naptha I used to use it to burn the garbage pit it always went off with a big...
