My father started an excavating company in 1963. Thats when I started working first shoveling, raking and picking up rocks. Then to checking grade and helping with layout. When I reached my teens I had been around iron and had helped work on it as we did all of our own wrenching it was a natural to get in the seat. I stayed with him until he decided to retire in the mid 80's and I had no desire to continue on my own. I got sent out from the hall to an outfit that I worked for running finish blade until I retired at 55 in 2010
