    JCB 212S randomly stalls

I suppose it is both. To quote the JCB Service Manual Section 3 Page 11-1 "Drain off any water in bowl L by turning tap J" obviously there is a drawing and L is the clear plastic bowl, J is the bottom drain wingnut on the bowl. I am actually surprised that there isn't a fuel filter before the...

    JCB 212S randomly stalls

It does have a sediment bowl but that is designed to separate water from fuel, not act as fuel filter. Sadly with my rust issues in the fuel tank the fuel separator is full of rust as well. The heavy rust settles on the bottom and the finer particles remain suspended in the moving fuel and...

    JCB 212S randomly stalls

I have a 2000 JCB 212S 4x4x4 It has run flawlessly for years with only routine service. About a year ago it began to shut off during use. Most often it shut off as if you turned off the key. Sometimes it would lose power as if it ran out of fuel too, but more frequently it just turned off. It...

    JCB 212S Hydraulic issue

The Main Relief Valve is JCB part # 25 / 607233 and sells for $386 US I was going to get one to have on hand but my parts guy says that they are stocked by JCB USA and are readily available if the need arises. They also make a repair kit for the valve.

    JCB 212S Hydraulic issue

Good Morning! I have a 2000 JCB 212S 4x4x4 I had the same problem as the OP had with very weak hydraulic action on the excavator and the front dump bucket. Sadly the OP never posted a resolution to his problem..... Anyway, The attachments would stop any movement if I pushed the control lever...

Is gps an excuse for no skills?

Most likely he has collapsed a foundation at some point in the past with the vibration and weight of his machine. Stay 10 feet back from the new building, no collapse. He needs to get a smaller machine for this work. Sorry you got the short end of that contract!! Dave

    JD 310 C power issues

I had a similar problem with my JCB 212s. Turn out there is a hose from the hydraulic storage tank to the pump, it is very similar to a radiator hose. For whatever reason the hose collapsed on pump suction effectively cutting off my oil flow!!! New hose (hmmmm came with a spring inside to...

    JCB Warning light question

I have a JCB 212s 4x4x4 It is a wonderful maneuverable machine, though a bit beat in some ways. I am slowly fixing things up and making it whole as it should be. I sadly don't have an owners manual though I do have the parts books and the service manual....go figure! I am lucky to have a...

    Jcb 212s

Funny, on my 212s the valve is in the upright position and the release pins work just fine. Honestly, I've never tried moving the lever at all to see if that affects the pin operation. No need to and as things age I cling more tightly to the saying, "if it ain't broke, don't go fixin' it!!" Dave

Help with JCB Loader Quick Hitch

OUCH!! I was taught (rightly so) to not use excessive force unless it was the absolutely last option available. This instruction has served me well for many decades now. Have you tried (with the machine off) loosening the hydraulic fitting to the hydraulic pin ram and seeing if it moves...

    JCB 212S Brakes

That's great you've located the problem! I also have a 212s 4x4x4 and it is a great machine though it is beginning to show it's age. I only wish I had an owners manual for some of the lights on the warning panel are a bit vague to me. Words would be nice... but then again.... I'm old! Dave
