Case 480F LL starting issue. No voltage. Fuse location?

Finally getting around to messing with this thing again. Do you have any idea where that magnetic switch is? I have found a single fise on this thing. I did find the 10 and 15 self resetting circuit breakers on a bar behind the gauge cluster. I can't get voltage to any of the 3. This tractor...

D5H LGP track frame and final drive oil change questions

Thanks Nige I was hoping you would reply. After posting I found in the service manual info stating that the pivot shaft is sealed from factory so I'll leave that alone. It also makes sense to me that the recoil spring compartment viscosity doesn't really matter. I suppose it could be filled with...

D5H LGP track frame and final drive oil change questions

Hello, Im doing some fluid changes on my 1994 d5h LGP, 1DD06082 and had a couple questions I can't seem to answer in my manual. I have the full shop service manual ($400 on ebay) that came with the maintenance section. The maintenance section describes how to check pivot shaft and recoil spring...

Case 480F LL starting issue. No voltage. Fuse location?

Good call thanks, I'll check it tomorrow. I found a forum earlier that had a picture from the manual with a diagram of that switch location. Is it just a two wire safety switch? And reason I cant jump the wires and bypass that switch?

Case 480F LL starting issue. No voltage. Fuse location?

Awesome thanks I appreciate the help. I'm going to check the neutral switch that Coy mentioned tomorrow and search for that 40 amp breaker. Haven't seen that anywhere but I'll admit I haven't been looking for an old breaker like that, although it probably would have caught my eye. I'm wondering...

Case 480F LL starting issue. No voltage. Fuse location?

Hello tractor wizards. I recently acquired a case 480F LL, late 80's-early 90's. It's in great shape, drove it on and off the trailer. The starter solenoid wasn't working and hadn't been working for some time according to the original owner. He had a wire wrapped around the ROPS that he would...

How many CFM's does a 3304 Cat d5h lgp move?

Good info thanks! I did a few CFM calculators on google and came up with some similar results but they seemed low to me. Seems like cal fire uses the 5" on all their dozers but I don't think I'll go with that one for this little d5. Thanks for the response

How many CFM's does a 3304 Cat d5h lgp move?

I'm looking to purchase a centri precleaner for my 1994 d5h lgp with a 3304 rated at 129/120 gross/net HP. The 4" centri precleaner would fit right on the factory stack coming out of the air intake system through the hood but according to centri is rated for 200-400 CFM. The next step up is the...

    D5h air conditioning question

Hello all, I recently purchased a d5h lgp. It has air conditioning that was partially disassembled, broken lines, missing harnesses, etc... I've since replaced parts like the condenser, dryer, accumulator, and condenser fan wiring harness. I put everything together, put a vacuum on the system...

D5h serial number doesn't match service/operator manual serial number

Thanks! I'm happy with the purchase so far. I'm normally running a 2012 d6k so this is definitely not as fancy but for a third the price and no emissions I think I did well. I'm used to that 6k throttling up and getting louder when I put a heavy load on the blade because of the load sensing...

D5h serial number doesn't match service/operator manual serial number

Good to know, thanks for confirming! Any idea why anyone would bypass the high pressure switch? They also cut the wiring in the condenser box and spliced motor wires in.

D5h serial number doesn't match service/operator manual serial number

Nige, yep it comes with the series II O&M that covers lgp and xl models. I don't know what the difference between series I and series II is. My tractor doesn't have series II decals anywhere on it but it seems to have all the stuff a series II machine has. I think some dealers just built them...

D5h serial number doesn't match service/operator manual serial number

Also, anyone know what this thingamajigger on the dash is? Some sort of electronic maintenance log or manual is what info I've found but can't seem to access it.

D5h serial number doesn't match service/operator manual serial number

What do you guys make of these pics? The pump has a high and low side cap. There's a pressure switch on the back but no wires going to it. You can see on the front view that the factory harness was cut and spliced into the compressor wires. Think I should put some freon in and see what happens...
