    Wire Rope Damage

    I see Saddle clamps. Very big nono by us, fist grips only. Had a bunch of cables the ubolts cut thru the lays when pulled to capacity. Fist grips are way safer.

    Have you looked at industrial maintenance jobs. Factory/manufacturing/foundry. Pay is good and consistent. Some places are death traps but I preferred wrenching on industrial machines instead of cars/and yellow equipment. In the Midwest housing is cheap and a lot of good companies are union...

    Banded v- belts detroit 60 series alternator drive

    Way to hard on the shifting gears. When I ran a 60 it would regularly squawk the belt if I was hill climbing and down shifting 6th and 5th gear in a 10 speed

    To me that almost sounds like rings seizing or piston skirt smearing. I had a massey 50a with a Perkins that did something similar. Wound up being at one time in its life someone rebuilt it with the wrong rings/liners. Chrome rings in chrome liners. All the ring lands were broke and everything...
