Thanks guys kinda what I figured after looking at it, just wanted to be sure.

    Removing JD 850c recoil spring

JD 1997 850c I have the track broken down, idler wheel, rod and tensioner assembly all pulled out. I'm trying to replace the track adjuster housing and obviously the spring needs to come out. I just wanted to make sure I'm doing it the safest way possible because I'm not sure how much tension...

JD 850C MISTRACKING GOING IN CIRCLES

Good question, I didn't really pay attention to the placement of it, but I wanna say it was to the right side and just a single FR. Although during the full speed calibration I did notice the left track got to spinning a bit faster than the right. I'll get back out there tomorrow and give it a...

JD 850C MISTRACKING GOING IN CIRCLES

Ok so mostly good news this time. As you stated the bad track sensors don't always throw a code as this one didn't just found out through the volt test. But it was in fact bad. I changed it out and now I can calibrate the dozer all the way to the end at which point you press the cal button for...

JD 850C MISTRACKING GOING IN CIRCLES

Sorry it's took me a while to get back to you mg2361. I tested the sensor according to the technical manual. Red to black wire I received 5.02v...black to green was 4.71v in reverse and 274mv in forward...white to black was showing alternate values of 4.71v and 274mv... machine at constant speed...

JD 850C MISTRACKING GOING IN CIRCLES

So I changed the transmission Hydraulic filter. That fixed 90% of the problem. Both tracks will operate now. When I try to recalibrate the tcu I can make it all the way to where you push the cal button on the controller again and then it'll flash (LD) can't make it past this part. When I start...

JD 850C MISTRACKING GOING IN CIRCLES

Update: all the wiring, sensors and computer check out. Ajusted the rpms back in spec range (helped me get further in the calibration process) lifted the dozer off the ground (seemed to allow the tracks to slightly turn as required in the first half of the calibration, well the right one...

JD 850C MISTRACKING GOING IN CIRCLES

Yes measured ac voltage at pin 17. Came out to 14v. Did not think to measure the hz, I'll have to try that out tomorrow. Yes I checked the speed sensor on the hydrostatic pump as well and it tested within spec. Hydro speed sensor: red-black= 5.03 volts Red-white= 4.73volts-285.1mv Red-white...

JD 850C MISTRACKING GOING IN CIRCLES

The dozer will only move when taken out of park, and it doesn't happen every time. It's very random. If it does ever move when taken out of park when it stops by itself it won't move again. No codes, I fixed everything pertaining to the ones that popped up. Only one that might still be left is...

JD 850C MISTRACKING GOING IN CIRCLES

I have a similar issue if someone thinks they can help 1997 jd 850c sn810865. Dozer will randomly decide to engage the right track in the forward direction only. I can't control the dozer in any way. I just had the tcm refurbished (does this need to be reprogrammed to work properly) I can't go...

    JD 850c won't read rpms

Ignore this post. Sensor works properly.

    JD 850c won't read rpms

I have a 97 jd 850c. Long story short had a bunch of fire damage, replaced the rops harness, rebuilt tcm etc. Fixed all the codes that were showing and the dozer still won't move. hydrostatic speed sensor is new and backed out after bottoming out by half a turn. The power value is at 5.03v. The...
