    Looking for a track loader

Our company let 2 977 Cats go in auction last year...and L Model and a K model I believe. Old but still ran good. We pulled piling to pile driving cranes with them for years thru swamps that only they could go thru. I believe they got around 3 grand for both of them.

    Trench collapse in Pa

D5G...I like you was not there either, but I cannot agree more with EVERYTHING you posted! This should "Never" happen and all involved should be home for the holidays but they are not. I was involved in a cave in rescue at a very young age and that day is burnt into my every dig! Mom and...

Hmmm. Well we had a hammer do that long ago . I believe it was low on propellant. Nitrogen maybe?

    Is a Cat 436b a decent backhoe?

Swing valves had a history of sticking in the few I used around that time frame. Other than that it was a strong digging machine!

I said never again but I did buy another Lincoln 18 volt grease gun.

They are fragile, but well worth the price! They will push grease where handle types feel like they will break your arm. I greased a 330 Cat, 325 Cat and a Gradall Materiel Handler on 1 battery!

    Cat vs Case backhoes?

580 case is the industry standard as far as I am concerned. As far as plant work where muscle is concerned the 590M really takes digging and concrete breaking to another level.Used the 590 to dig ringwalls around existing crude tanks in the midwest, mostly because of thier reach. Many obstacles...

    Chaining down Excavator Properly

Mdot requires a chain (seperate chain mind you) on each corner of a machine. Plus one on each implament. So on a mini that is 6. The 4 corners, with a seperate binder. Then one on the blade and one on the bucket. I got a 300 dollar ticket few years ago for only 4 chains on a case 580 backhoe...

    That had to hurt!

I wish the video was a bit longer in length so I would know a few things such as...How much deeper was this next cut? Because it looks as though he is very limited with a swing radious not to mention he can barely back up if he is digging that cut already. As I said a longer vid would tell a lot...

    How much can you move?

Well, here is a question within your question. This refers to an old thread here....Are you at half throttle or full throttle?

    Pile Driving With Movax

I just got back into the Piling field again after a 5 year hiatus. We seem to be using the Movax type pile systems on our Cat 325,s and 330,s. I dont have any pictures yet to post. They sure make life easier in tight spots for "H" pile and sheet pile in general. Anyone else using these, and are...
