    Ford 2600 tractor stuck clutch.

    There is no inspection plate for access,and i tried clamping the clutch pedal down and jerking it with another tractor but that did not work. Guess i will have to split it in half and fix. Many thanks to all that replied.

    Thanks TD24. I checked the linkage to the controll valve and it had a lot of rust in the joints. I sprayed every thing up with CRC and ran it up and down a few times with weight on the forks and it started working faster. The more i use it the better it gets. I think its almost there.     I sat in my Gehl CTL80 and it started right up. Then i shut it off to change the bucket and when i went to start it back up it would not crank and battery lamp was blinking in the cluster. Tested battery and it has plenty of power. Any one have any ideas what to start checking?

    Yes they do both travel about half way down when they disengage. When the machine is cold it does'nt steer to bad. but after it warms up it gets worse.

    I had it running today,and checked the steering clutchs . when machine is in gear and you push both pedals half way down the machine stops moving and it does'nt seem to pull the engine down. so i am thinking the brake is glazed. any way of checking that ?
