    Cat ET Comm 3 adapter

Does anyone in the Tulsa OK area have Cat ET. I have a 289D with fuel or electrical problems.

    Cat 289D Engine miss

I have read the document you attached. I have not been able to make full sense of the fact that there is a feed pump and a high pressure pump. Are they both ran off the same shaft mechanically? When I turned the key on I am hearing a small whine and the SCV is giving me 4.5 to 5 volts on the...

    Cat 289D Engine miss

I have the advanced display. I do not have any active codes. I have some logged codes but they were there when I got the machine. None of them are electrical or fuel related. Is the transfer pump only supposed to run prior to starting. If it shuts off after starting does the fuel flow through...

    Cat 289D Engine miss

Is there a sensor or a certain pressure that the ECU needs to see for it to continue to run? How much pressure should the relief valve hold? It seems electrical the way it fires and immediately shuts down

    Cat 289D Engine miss

When I changed the fuel filter I thought I saw a little. But it didn't register at the time so I'm not positive.

    Cat 289D Engine miss

289D S/N TAW10455 I'm having a different issue but same system. I was running my machine and it started losing power then died. This all happened within 1 minute. I replaced fuel filter and screen. Now it will fire then die immediately. The transfer pump has voltage and I can hear it running...

289D DPF differential pressure supply voltage

Yes that is the one. I don't see on the schematic where it shows what voltage it should be.

289D DPF differential pressure supply voltage

I was doing some more testing last evening and pin number one with key on machine off is 5 volts. Signal is .7 or .8 volts. Just for kicks I also tested the boom position sensor. Supply voltage is 5 volts also.

289D DPF differential pressure supply voltage

Cat 289D S/N TAW10455 I'm wondering what the supply voltage should be on the differential pressure sensor. Not signal voltage. The reading I am getting is 3.9 volts I feel like it should be 5v but I don't know. Question number two: Does anybody have my machine electrical schematics. On...
