JLG 1930ES Pothole Switch Reading Incorrectly

I finally figured it out. Under machine setup the ELEV.PROX. INSTALLED: was set to "0-NO". Once I changed this to "1-YES" everything went back to normal.

JLG 1930ES Pothole Switch Reading Incorrectly

I'm about to call out the cavalry on this 2004 1930ES with the "Faulty Pothole State". The analyzer is showing the left pothole protection switch is up when it's down and down when it's up. I can get it to read down when it's down by putting a piece of metal over the elevation proximity sensor...

JLG 1930ES Pothole Switch Reading Incorrectly

Is there anyway to reprogram the software state for the LPH switch on the 2004 JLG 1930ES I'm working on? The anyalyzer is showing the left pothole switch down when it's up and up when it's down, which is preventing drive. I've tested and adjusted the switch, and it's working fine, tried...

JLG 1930ES Pothole Protection Reading Reversed

I double checked the manual, my wire connections and reinstalled the LPH switch per manual instructions. I'm still getting "POTHOLE PROTECTION STATE FAULTY" reading and the LPH is reading reverse of where it actually is.

JLG 1930ES Pothole Protection Reading Reversed

I did replace the wire leads on the left PH switch. I don't think I switched the wires;but, even if I did, I don't think switching the wires would have any effect going into a simple N/C switch. I will check my connections and try switching the wires.

JLG 1930ES Pothole Protection Reading Reversed

My 2004 JLG 1930ES has a "DRIVE PREVENTED-POTHOLE NOT ENGAGED" HELP message and "POTHOLE PROTECTION FAULTY" SYSTEM message. When the platform is down I'm getting "LT PHP DOWN" (it's up) and "RT PHP UP"(where it is, and should be). When I raise the platform I get "LT PHP UP" the opposite of...

    JLG giving issues

It's probably just a bad switch, which is replaceable, you can test your platform control module by switching it with the control from another unit. Your local lift rental may let you use (or rent) one of theirs temporarily to test your unit. They also might let you bring in your control module...

    JLG 1930ES Only Steers Left

Thanks Moonlite! Straightening the bent valve spool did the trick.

    JLG 1930ES Only Steers Left

Thanks to Willie and Moonlight for your responses. Moonlight hit the nail on the head, the steer control valve spool was slightly bent. How it got bent, I have no idea. After removing the coils from the control valve spool, I checked it with a straight edge and used a short piece of pipe to...

    JLG 1930ES Only Steers Left

The steering on our 2004 JLG 1930es (SN 0200119***) is stuck to the left and will only turn left, no matter which steer direction is selected. The joystick control works on other units. The hydraulic valve coils are energizing, the platform and ground software has been updated and the analyzer...
