pump and gauges for testing hydraulics

I'm looking to get a manual or air operated pump to test my hydraulics. Right now it seems like most of my cylinders are leaking internally and I'm thinking it's not the cylinder but a control valve or maybe the main relief valve. My functions all work but I am a little slower on some verses...

Case 580SM Travel mode unlocks on its own

Bringing this up again for any other ideas. I replaced the bumper but didn’t use my machine much for a few months. I was loading a bunch of bark for my neighbor last weekend and found that the problem persists. The new bumper made a difference when putting in the locked position but not for...

Case 580SM Travel mode unlocks on its own

I don’t see the rubber bumper but I’ll look again. I considered travel mode to be whenever I’m not digging with the backhoe. I drove up the hill to buy fuel and had to stop once in each direction to pull the boom back as I could see the yoke rising up and getting ready to pop loose. When I...

Case 580SM Travel mode unlocks on its own

There doesn't seem to be any wear on the boom or the yoke. I'll have to double check to see if there is any mud or junk under the yoke. It really seems to lock in place. Just jumps out when it wants to. Could be bad if it happened at the wrong time.

No. Just the yoke which is lifted with a cable.

Case 580SM Travel mode unlocks on its own

Of course- The boom pops free from the lock. For example: yesterday I was digging some holes for my neighbor. When I was done I brought the boom back, stepped on the lock mechanism and pulled the boom back and quickly pushed it forward into the travel position. Dropping the locking yoke onto...

Case 580SM Travel mode unlocks on its own

My backhoe unlocks itself while driving but has also unlocked while sitting still. It’ll scare the pee out of you if you’re standing next to it. Have to treat it like a horse and not walk behind it. The lock doesn’t appear to be worn. When I lock it I make sure it’s completely engaged and then...

Case 580 SM S3- Code 3034 Sensor Location?

Hello, I have a 2008 580 SM Series 3. I keep getting the alert light with a code 3034. Apparently the code is for oil temperature sensor above range. Book says to check wires or replace the sensor. But where is the sensor? I've downloaded the manual but can't find any information on where the...
