From a time perspective this may suit you...its faster. first remove the cooler/rad assembly This will give you way more room air cleaner housing has to come off .remove various wires etc inc the battery. remove exhaust and flex pipe...

    if you can replace it and get out+ replace the broken bolts .but if you cant do it at this time watch the track tension and operate with some care it will likely run a bit longer

    did the engine knock? think your going to be pulling that engine. typically a bent rod will not reach TDC and will cause a misfire. there are some pretty good aftermarket complete rebuild kits out there. with every thing you need you wont get a connecting rod though.I used one of these kits...

    so heres some pics went down last night and put it on you will note the keyway lines up with a reciprocating mark. the engine is at tdc. did take a good look under the pump foe a screw plug or pin none visible.
