Will I be satisfied with skid steer trencher

So, now that I've decided it will work, what brands and features will work well for me? Good black dirt to yellow or orange clay in north central MO. I would encounter rocks very seldom. I see 48" Brandco 625's with 7030 chains (I'm told it's better than standard chain and will work in some...

Will I be satisfied with skid steer trencher

I have a 2007 Mustang MTL 25, same as Tak 150 or Gehl CTL 80. Will I be satisfied with a 40" - 48" trencher. I have several water and electric lines to run on my own place, and it would be used to put up silt fence. I hate to rent a piece of junk that I have to work on to make it work.

what are the advantages and disadvantages of a 6 way blade on a d6r

If you need a 6-way blade, you probably don't need or want a 6-way on a D6R. If you push hard, and that's why most people buy R's, you'll spend time repairing cylinder ends and push framework. Just my cheap opinion

What do I do to make blade drop fast....New Holland D180

Sticky clay is hanging on to my blade (New Holland D180 semi-U); much of the time it won't drop off untill I have backed up quite a ways in my cut. Every once in a while the blade will drop very fast, but I don't know what I've done to get it to drop fast. If I could give it a fast drop and...

Reliability and parts for a Fiat Allis FD175

The sight of those big girls in a steep climbing turn is pretty exciting. I lost my medical as a result of a bad spinal block. My life is very different than it use to be, but I have so much to be thankful for. I am able to walk short distances and operate equipment. After being told that I...

Reliability and parts for a Fiat Allis FD175

Where the Grand meets the Missouri River. I farm in the Triplett area and have a business in Brunswick. Water was at the top of the levees last week and on the week end, but it's receding now. Some of the levee systems failed. C130, as in Turbo prop?

Can you change a LPG machine to standard undercarriage?

I've found a couple LPG machines with run out undercarriage; can I replace all of it with standard undercarriage? I won't be around any rock I'll be pushing dirt and taking tree's to the pile. Should I just go with a cheap or mid range priced undercarriage What brand should I be looking at...

    Cat 60 scraper????

Scrub Puller, it is the angle of cut. Think of it this way, it's a lot easier to push something up a 29 degree slope than a 45 degree slope. When it comes to sand, it's even worse because it doesn't ribbon. The sand won't make it pull harder, it just won't go in as easy. I load a 13-14 yd...

Scraper or pan and how big

Greg, have you ever tried to load sand with a Cat 60? I would want a larger scraper, 14 yards or so, with a lot more tire on the ground. Fill it to the point the soil will hold it up. Get a scraper with a pretty flat angle on the cutting edge. The older Cat's and other cable scrapers will not...

    Cat 60 scraper????

Here's how to compare sizes of the old Cat's to scrapers built today, heaped loads: Cat 60-9yd, Cat 70-13yd and a Cat 80-18-29yd Your tractor will pull the Cat 60 fine and don't worry about your tractor tire width; it would be very unusual for your width to hinder what you will be doing. The...

Reliability and parts for a Fiat Allis FD175

I can buy one of these machines much cheaper than the major brands. I will only put 200-700 hours a year on a machine for the next 3 or 4 years and then sell it. Are parts still available for these mid 90's machines?

need HD extreme bucket for my Mustang MTL 25 same as Tak 150 or Gehl CTL80

Thanks for the reply guys, but that's the bucket that I tore up. I ordered a Berlon, I hope I didn't make a mistake. I bought some heavier artillery last week. I bought a JD 755 series II, that has 700 hours on it. Man, the tree's shake when they see me comin. 180 HP and 50,000 lbs makes things...

need HD extreme bucket for my Mustang MTL 25 same as Tak 150 or Gehl CTL80

I use this track skidsteer very hard. I move a lot of dirt with it, but the hardest thing on my bucket is taking out trees. Most of the trees I take out are 4"-12" in diameter. I do a lot of pushing or pounding to get the bigger trees down. Sometimes instead of pushing the trees out, I angle my...
