All food! That would suck!!! Although where we are we have all the food waste taken out for composting which leaves nothing but couches and plastic (Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit). Ya the perfect blend is a fairy tale I know but I was just curious as to your usual practices w/out taking into...

    any Landfill Operators out there?

Hey, dust eater how do you go about putting layers on a cell in the most efficient way? I know that question is loaded with variables lol! The scenario being you have a compacted cell that is even (no low spots) and has nothing buried in the top couple layers that you would'nt want to dig up...

    Cat track loader purchase

I run a 3 or 4 year old 973d at work and I love it! excellent power and capability. I've been running it for two years now and I am continuously surprised at the overall tasks you can complete with it, this machine is NOT for someone who has a sloppy hand BTW. Have fun and be safe.

Help w/ selecting my first piece of heavy equipment.

If you are talking machines of a similar size the tracked machine will have more traction and more power, I run a CAT 973d tracked loader at a landfill and it is out standing the sort of power it has for the size of machine it is. When pushing a load, the main problem for the noobs at our site...

I bought 13 acres of forest land, what to use to clear it ?

That sounds exciting 191185! I think the first step for you with all this great advice would be to establish a timeline and a budget. If your going to be a farmer you are going to need a tractor for sure so go get that! everything that has been mentioned varies greatly in time and money so if...

Bobcat had three different shapes for there spades and 5 different sizes, The bigger diameter the better from what I've heard so I would probably want the biggest they got which is a 44". As for what machines can carry it I think the smallest machine you could go would be a T-650 (I am...

    Mini portable screeners.

Hey everyone, I am wondering what the best bang for your buck is in the mini portable screener world. I have seen a few I like, Screenking Ultra (also known as ScreenTitan in the U.S), and the E.Z screener 1200xl. Anyone out there own one of these or have suggestions for different kinds?

Calling all gravel road building experts.

to me the most important part of the 6" rounded stones getting caught in between the duals is that, from where the stones could get caught in between the duals to a public road way is less than 1 km... if a trucker doesnt catch notice it on the way out the gate, someone could die if that rock...

Calling all gravel road building experts.

the product I am referring to is a 6"- clean cobble, most commonly used as drain rock. It does not have fines in it, It ranges from 6" down to about 2". Yes a lot of it is the perfect size to get stuck in between the duals, especially when the loader operator doesn't give his bucket a shake...
