Hello. Material handlers?

Hello this is my first post and didn’t see a specific section on material handelers.

Im recently working on some scrap yard style material handlers and looking for a group that I might be able to connect with.

Specifically older imported stuff like a Fuchs Terex, Komatsu sheer, and domestic john Deere excavator with magnet.

Any experience here or suggestions where I can bounce some ideas on repairs?

Thanks in advance!

Perhaps the forestry section. That looks like a machine out of a mill yard, different grapple. Maybe the demolition section section for sheers

Thanks for the suggestions! Any more detail you can share about the differences between the mill yard grapples?

. Don't know much about them. Forestry was always big here. Lumber and paper. Paper mill is gone, as well as most of the saw mills. Still lots of cutting in the woods, but most of it gets shipped out. Arbec has an OSB mill. They run several machines like these. Mostly Cat, a couple Liebherr, and a Finnish, or German machine. Can't remember the name of it.

Some experience with them, usually they were well past their sell by date. Most places have dumped fuchs in favor of Sennebogen or Liebherr but mostly Sennebogen. Exodus/CAT is gone but there are still some machines running around. A few modified excavators by companies like Norris are around too.

Yea it’s very euro. I’m fighting with a can error that’s shutting it down. I’m an auto mechanic and there’s no obd-2 port. Lol how do you diag these things? I already replaced the wiring harness and cleaned multiple computer connections

What brand? Might need the OEM software to get the specific code. Usually it's been a power issue when I've seen this, a power or ground wire is loose and causing an ECM to momentarily shut down and taking everything else with it.

The Fuchs ml350. I’d love to have that unique access to the trouble codes. Thanks for the tips ill keep looking for power/ground issues. I checked the 3 ecm connections and the Bosch ecm with the Volkswagen labeled connector was corroded at the terminals. I cleaned them up really well but am considering it wicking inside and maybe the culprit.

Might check the body grounds and battery connects. I had a liebherr acting up and it was a fuse receptacle for the ECM that was corroded.

Just wanted to respond with the solution: there was a pin (Lower case d) on the X2 harness that backed out when plugged in. I connected the connector, pushed the pin in from the back and the issue was resolved.
Thank you for the help!
