    JIC hose/fitting parts catalog confusion

Nah. Just wasn’t sure if something was wrong or I was misunderstanding something. That was an expensive endeavor for the manufacturer over thousands of machines. But it must be worth it.

    JIC hose/fitting parts catalog confusion

All straight male jic hose to hard connections are the same over size. Hard lines match hose sizes.

    JIC hose/fitting parts catalog confusion

Sounds like the concensus is that Case needed small flexible hoses and high flowing fittings. If there’s no error in the manual I’ll just buy the jump size fitting. I appear to have a few non-original hoses. The only 3/4 hoses on the backhoe are new ones. And the only new ones are 3/4. Seems...

    JIC hose/fitting parts catalog confusion

Anyone know the specs on that^^^ 10 10 and 12 12 is far more common than 10 12 and 8 10, and cheaper. Same fitting 5/8 straight through is $10, 3/4 straight through is $15, and to change size from 5/8 to 3/4 is $19.

    JIC hose/fitting parts catalog confusion

My Parts catalog for a Case 580SL is giving me some trouble. It specifies fittings in thread dimension only 7/8-14, 1 1/16-12, and so on. It does not specify hose sizes anywhere. Between loader and various backhoe circuits I have found I have 3 main sizes 3/8 for stabilizers, 1/2 for all loader...

3/4 hydraulic line replaced with 5/8

Thanks guys, I’m going to run it on a stopwatch one last time just so I can compare the cycle times. Then move forward with the project. Consensus seems to be that any adverse effect will be negligible.

3/4 hydraulic line replaced with 5/8

It’s a commonly used valve for compact tractors. It’s marketed for grapple functions, sold by summit.com. Sold in 3/8 and 1/2 as well as the 5/8. I’d be fine with any of those sizes for the backhoe thumb. But I have to send my extendahoe flow into and out of the unit 24/7, then divert to thumb...

3/4 hydraulic line replaced with 5/8

Adding a valve within my extendahoe circuit. This valve is only available in -10 (5/8). Will sending my circuit flow through this choke point be ok. The extendahoe is on a 580SL2 (max 37 gpm relief at 3000) I wouldn’t consider it on a more heavily used circuit but was slay with a little slow...

850 SL 2 Exhaust leak from manifold bolt

Thanks for mentioning, I’ll pay extra attention to that. Motor mounts= weight on hydraulic pump shaft if it gets bad (I hear).

850 SL 2 Exhaust leak from manifold bolt

https://m.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1310411850220757/?ref=search Sorry to take the thread on a tangent but this is it. Desirable spec right? Average leaks and issues for age.

850 SL 2 Exhaust leak from manifold bolt

Lost of vibration. Idle was set just under 800. Super L manual says I need to get it adjust to 900-1100. It is smooth 900 onward but real Lopey at the current 800 idle

850 SL 2 Exhaust leak from manifold bolt

I really need a service book… maybe online?

850 SL 2 Exhaust leak from manifold bolt

Got it. Thanks. This is the bolt (6). It was straight up gone and I wasn’t sure what was supposed to be there. Hole straight into manifold.

850 SL 2 Exhaust leak from manifold bolt

There is an exhaust puffing out of the holes that hold the muffler support on the right side of the Cummins motor. One seems to have a broken bolt and the other is missing. Do yall have 2 bolt heads on that muffler stand?
