    I have a ford A66 with an Allison 2421-1 Allison Transmisssion and torque convertor It is weak.. cant hardly move itself after the oil gets warmed up It.was a bear to take out. No one seems to know anything about them even though they were used in a lot of John Deere and case wheel loaders...

    Thanks so much for the reply! I have the A 66 ford. My service manual says take out engine and transmission together out the back. I removed the seat and air box under it to get clearance. Motor has been removed. So that can make it tricky. I am having an outfit in South Carolina rebuild it...

    the loader worked ok when cold ,when it warmed up it got weak. It always showed good pressure on the guage ??

    Thanks Sae 3,4 must refer to bolt pattern that attach to transmission. I also need bolt pattern for my 7.8 liter ford. If I replace with same engine I am risking electrolysis that has already occured, as 401 ford is known for that?

    yes, I have a ford 401 mounted to a TT 2421-1 transmission. Would like to use something different. SAE #3 Housings available on E Bay If My ford 7.6 liter offf a combine would bolt up to that I would be golden! But I dont Know what motors bolt to that housing? Thanks for your help !
