    CAT 345C Excessive vibration

With this in mind, I think your best plan would be to sell her as she sits, and let the new owner put the money required into it. You will NEVER regain the revenue back out of this machine that you will spend fixing by selling it, or keeping around as a spare. And unless you fix it RIGHT, you...

    CAT 345C Excessive vibration

At this point, I'm not sure what an oil sample shows really matters at all.

    Deere 850 B no start.

This forum never ceases to amaze me with the weird things that happen in the wild. I'm having a hard time believing that that engine was running a month ago.

Normal Operating oil temperature for a 430hp Cat C13 engine in a 2007 Kenworth T800 dump truck

So, all this was done after you noticed the oil temp? Or, what? My experience with a C13 was a dumpster fire. In 10k miles, it got an oil cooler, radiator (not necessarily the engines fault), turbo bolts broke, and started losing oil pressure. Then, after replacing the filter base and all...

    CAT 345C Excessive vibration

Too bad they didn't fill the b!tch with oil before starting it after the hose repair. You're going to wish that was gold in that filter before this mess gets resolved.

Old modified 631 pan to a pull pan?

Not necessarily. If you get a 12-15 yard dolly pan, you can pull one of those with a 400 hp wheel tractor in most all conditions. A 631 pan is 30 yards, and the rig, if it has a dolly, is going to weigh 15-18 ton. With a 30 yard load of dirt, you're looking at 80k+ pounds, give or take...

Old modified 631 pan to a pull pan?

I would not hook a converted 631 behind my 95E. That is going to be a heavy, power-sucking pig. If it's a direct conversion, it is going to need 500+ track horses on the front to get a decent load. If it's a dolly, you are going to need 60k pounds and 600 horse to load it. And I'm not...

    Electrician HELP..

Great. Now it looks like you resurrected this trainwreck since CM or Digger banned the spammer.

This will be an interesting thread moving forward......

Are you going to try to get them to waive the 30% restocking charge........??

    Rebuilding Deere 1810E scraper

Nope. Won't until mid-June. I have a farming commitment each spring, and I prefer to stay out of dirtwork until the ground has settled back down anyway. The frost can really make a guy look stupid.

This will be an interesting thread moving forward......

Gee, I wonder why lol. For the last couple years, you have chewed a big hole in the revenue from the shop of that dealer, of course they are going to be excited to get that sale.

    CAT 345C Excessive vibration

Please don't take this the wrong way, but..... You have an operator that fires up a machine with a probably $40k hydraulic pump with no oil in the system, who then proceeds to barely put enough oil back in to cover the inlet screen, and then stretch the machine out, which probably takes more...

D9D 18A Final Drive Pinion Flange

I truly feel bad for this guy, trying to do these repairs himself, but some things just can't be done without following the rules.

So, can I ask what the majority of the axles are on, what oil is used, and how often is it changed?

Order assembled chains and pads or transfer? Ec140blc

I wouldn't even know where to start looking for a track shop anymore for something that's not Cat.

Order assembled chains and pads or transfer? Ec140blc

FWF, you are the first one I've seen on here that has suggested investing anything in fixing excavator rails. At $1400 per rail, I just put new ITR on our 210 last winter. It is a little early to tell, only about 500 hours on them, but the machine rides a little rough. I replaced everything...

@tctractors do you have any ideas for Dan here if he can't source the proper tooling?

This will be an interesting thread moving forward......

I'm not sure about that. This is the epitome of the culture that all these OEMs have been pushing for. All they want is for people to be swapping these large "components" instead of repairing said components because that allows the OEM to capture the revenue from rebuilding at the corporate...
