    Engine start rpm

must be a tractor thing. My JD dozer and hoe are 70s models and don't do that. I've only seen it on these newish skid steers. Mines an 08. It is pretty irritating. Everything I was taught was that the most wear occurs in the first few seconds after starting... appreciate the explanation mg.

    Engine start rpm

Why do these machines start at high rpms and then slow to normal idle? Is it something that can be adjusted?

    rexroth part numbers

I got someone at rexroth to talk to me. They said that they can't provide info because of legal reasons, something to do with JD engineers helping with the design. Proprietary BS...

    rexroth part numbers

Yeah, I've begun to think that JD doesn't even know the rexroth part number... I'm finding that New Holland and Hitachi used drive motors that seem kinda close

    rexroth part numbers

I'm looking for the original rexroth part number for the drives on a CT332. The dealers have not been able to provide it. I'm not sure it will help me but I am looking to figure out motor displacement and drive ratios so I can cross to other models. Thanx

    Aftermarket Drives

The continuing saga of the trashed CT332 final drive. The cost of parts to rebuild are way high so we are moving on to replacement. Machine has 2100hrs and is in decent shape. A new drive from John Deere is 4100$ and no core charge. No one has any rebuilds in stock. Folks have to send their...

    Final Drive Disassembly Prob

CT332 Rexroth drive. The lock rig will only move 1/2" then stops hard. Note the white marks. I have put some heat to it but it didn't help. Left to my own thinking my next thot is to put as much heat into it as I can. It's about 8" in diameter so it's pretty tough to get it glowing w/o heating...

    CT332 Front main seal

The machine I am working on had at least 8" of topsoil in the pan. From the footwell to the radiator. Got it cleaned out and it looks like the front main seal is leaking. Does anyone here know if it can be changed with the front cover still on? I hope so because the alternative would suck.

    CT332 bucket doesn't float

I got the handle to move and float works. I had to pull the cover in the footwell and function the lever by hand to get it to break over to the detent position. After cycling it several times I am able to make it work using the control handle. The end links are a little sloppy so I'll order some...

    CT332 bucket doesn't float

Thanx mg. It must be sticking at the detent. I'll take the handle apart first.

    CT332 bucket doesn't float

Mechanical joystick model. Left stick is labeled as float in full down position. Doesn't work. Figuring the linkage must be outa adjustment. Any tips on getting it right? Seems like it could be a pain if done by trial an error. Thanx

    580D leak at shifter

My machine is leaking like a stuck pig from the clutch solenoid / shift lever area. I've been searching the web for guidance on how to disassemble and what seals or o-rings to replace. It sounds like the solenoid simply screws off. The diagrams look like the valve comes out the other side. Can...

    GS-2646 brake problem

Someone gave me an old Genie GS-2646. All the functions work except the brakes won't release. I've tried all I can think of and next step is pulling the hubs apart. I'm hoping someone here has some magic that might keep me from having to do that. What I've done and found Hit it with a hammer...
