    Suggestions for skid steers.

"IF" you can find a used Case 1845C, you won't be disappointed. The 4-390 engine in that model is very, very long life compared to some of the competitors.

case 1845c left side drive weak

You got to remember that the more you push on each lever, the less power you will have. More lever stroke will give you more speed, but less power. If you need power, you have to move the levers less, or back off on the lever movement to stay in the power range. This is not to say that you...

    case 1830

Since hyd power for all systems are generated through the pump drive, and no systems work, you may have sheared off the pump drive shaft (PN: D63320) just south of the pump coupling. I have seen this happen before.

    Brush Cutter Value???

The carbide tooth machines use the same C-4 cutters used on planers & small asphalt/concrete milling machines. We have used the Tushogg to knock down some rock surfaces without damage to the unit or the teeth.:)

    Brush Cutter Value???

Along with the proper flow required, certain pressure specs must also be maintained. A tired old machine not capable of generating and cooling a "minimum" of about 3000+ psi to the attachment would not deliver expected results.

    Brush Cutter Value???

Look at the following site for a cutter that really works well. I operated one for three days last fall. Worked excellent and doesn't need much maintenance. This cutter uses carbide cutters similar to those used on small coldplaners. Tushogg was the name. They are made for skisteers & wheel...

Type of oil in the chain case of 1845C

Whoops, Sorry...the 1845C does not have the level check plug in the side. A couple inches of oil added thru the top access cover is the norm.

Type of oil in the chain case of 1845C

You have too much lube oil in the chaintank if it is almost to the center of the axle. The ops manual states to fill tanks up to the bottom of the drain plug hole located in the center of each tank. This amount is only a couple of inches deep and lubes the chain as it moves through the bottom of...

    Stump grinder,cold planer

Whats the flow available on the loader? What capability does the loader have to move inches per minute as might be needed with the cold planer? Will the loader's oil cooler be capable of handling the heat generated by the planer and grinder? How much HP is available for the attachments? Is he...

    Why no side shift hoes?

The 580F & 580G units were built in Case's France manufacturing plant for distribution in Europe and Middle East. I might be able to search and tell you the approximate number of F & G series manufactured there. The number might surprise you! There have been some gray market sideshift 580's...

    Case W24B power issue

Yes, check the charge pump..., but also check the clutch cutout solenoid on the transmission. If it is corroded and hanging up, it could cause the same type of delay.

Drott 80 and 120 picture request

It was not only a screamer, but a fantastic earthmover. The City of Saskatoon had a Drott 120 that they only brought out in the dead of winter, because the 120 was the only machine in that day that would dig through the deep frost. The Drott 120 was eliminated from production when Case...
