CAT304E CR (TTN) (2013) - Tips for finding a hose on the manifold

Yes, Very helpful. Super appreciated. Going to see if either or both of those is the "other end" today after work once the rain dries up. It sure would be nice if the hoses had numbered markings on each end that matched the schematics. Would make it trivially easy to find these things. Shame...

CAT304E CR (TTN) (2013) - Tips for finding a hose on the manifold

Hi all. I blew the boom cylinder extension hose on my CAT304E CR. I am trying to find the "other end" at the manifold to cap it so I can move the machine up to my shop for a proper repair. The usual "pull the hose and look for wiggle" trick didn't work, probably b/c the hose is anchored...

    CAT304E Auto Idle Issue

SOLVED! Really do. Was able to separate CONN 9 in the battery box, Buzz out Pin 1 on both sides. The cab harness (CONN9-Female to ECM) was good. The chassis harness (CONN9-Male to AEC) was no good, open. Wasn't able to find a break and not going to try to get at that. Ran a new wire from the...

    CAT304E Auto Idle Issue

That looks like it. I've attached a photo. Last night I disconnected again and metered the switch. It appears to be a simple pressure threshold contact closure. When I actuated the blade the switch went from open to closed, so I'm 99% sure the pressure switch is good. What's more concerning to...

    Cat 308C one way hydraulics?

On my 304E it was right on the front of the manifold. And yes, a quarter turn valve. They discuss it in the operations and maintenance manual if you have a copy.

    CAT304E Auto Idle Issue

Does anyone happen to have the schematics handy for the 304E-CR? If not, I'll probably bite the bullet and get the full service manual from the dealer when I put a thumb on the machine.

    CAT304E Auto Idle Issue

Hi, Have an interesting issue with my CAT 304. The auto-idle, which used to work with all the controls, now only works with the travel levers, but not the sticks or the blade lever. When moving the joysticks or blade lever the machine stays at idle. Hydraulically, all the controls work. I did...
