JD 410C shooting dipstick because I'm an idiot

Ok so I think I got lucky. Looked into it today. Drained some oil from the pan and it looks clean no sign of water or coolant. Filled the radiator with water and didn't find any leaks. Did some poking around and noticed one of the two serpintine belts had broken and the remaining one was quite...

JD 410C shooting dipstick because I'm an idiot

Hopefully the experienced here can help me proceed without causing any further problems. I fired up the backhoe after an inactive winter and although I checked the oil and hydraulic fluid I forgot to check the coolant. I was moving material around and grading for a few hours and thought it...

410c Front wheel steering housing: weld repair?

Thanks for the suggestion. At that point I think I will goto the next size bolt. I may do that or have the machine shop press studs into the stripped holes. Found out weld repair is a no go. I guess it gets too hard to machine once welded.

410c Front wheel steering housing: weld repair?

Hopefully the wise here can steer me in the right direction. The threaded holes in my RH steering housing (p/n:T77440) that secure the steering arm have stripped out. It appears they had been previously repaired with helicoils. Is it worth weld repairing the housing and re machining the holes...
