    Lube skid

Good eye CM, it is a L8000 tandem auto dump we use in some of our municipality projects. It has been a great truck all the guys can drive. The lube trailer has a 315G waste with suction/discharge, three 50g products, a 250G product, a 200G product, 125# grease, air, lights. I really lucked into...

    Lube skid

Hey CM, we like you have seen a trend in increasing insurance rates and decided to reduce trucks out of our fleet that got occasional use. As a result we have been looking for a service/Lube trailer to replace an f650 that like your 4700 got sent down the road. We lucked out and were able to get...

    Volvo ECR58D throttle issue !

Uffex always offers great advise, it would be worth waiting until he gets the correct trouble shooting info before continuing the process. The symbol just means that there is zero hours remaining until service maintenance. It is reset by user so it may be ready for oils changed or somebody...

    Volvo ECR58D throttle issue !

I have a 14' ECR58D, you will need a new throttle pointiometer switch, ( the throttle spinny thing). I think it was about $500 at the dealer. We tried everything we could as well before buying the switch, nothing would make it idle up

    Conexpo 2023

See you all there, last time was a bit over whelming with everything to see as it was our first time. This time I have a clearer focus and direction to spend my time on as it flies by so quickly. I hope to run into a few of you there, safe travels to all

    Mobile crusher

I just acquired a very similar unit for processing my own material. I think that the foam and plastic will be a major down fall as it will cause the feed material to slip against the jaws making terrible jams. I have seen this happen with random clumps of grass and root material accidentally...

Utilities across a driveway for new construction

The depth function only works when you are putting your own signal down the line. It does not work in radio mode. It is accurate to within 4" as long as your gain is turned up just enough to detect the line, too much gain produces a wonky depth. OJT was the only way we figured this out with a...

Utilities across a driveway for new construction

Correction, mine is an rd4000 as well. You tube helped me out quite a bit, but shadowing the 811 guy on my tickets and asking a lot of questions formed my working knowledge of the locator. I trace fibers at 8k hz and telephone at 32k hz, may not be correct but has provided best results for me...

    Overload of the Day

Brother sent me this one today. Still not the brand new Linkbelt x145 I saw on a gooseneck pulled by a 3/4 ton SRW the other day, wish I had turned around for a pic.

    05 volvo l60e transmission problem

We may be past this point already but the gear selector shifters are known wear items in c's, d's, and e's. I have had them fail in many ways including loss of one direction with a service life of about 3 years of service doing utility work. I keep new ones on deck for this reason. Failure in...

    Aftermarket rail vs oem

I have replaced about 5 sets of rails in the last 2 years as machines are coming due. All with aftermarket and 3 out of 5 have been ITR. They are wearing well(no significant wear), we walk up and down streets all day long doing utilities. I get my stuff from tracks n teeth online. I normally...

    Komatsu pc18mr bad blow by

Yes, all bracketry, and engine components bolted right up including pump coupler. Only issue is the oil dipstick ended up on the wrong side(probably changeable). It runs great and is rated slightly higher in HP from the mower configuration.

    Komatsu pc18mr bad blow by

We have done this exact thing. We picked up an almost dead pc18 mr cheap and swapped in a d902 from a grasshopper mower I picked up for $300. It works great, we use it for pot-holeing existing utilities before we start a job.
