    Seeing that the issue is with the VECU power supply and the proportional solenoid I suspect something in the auto/manual switch or circuit. You will need to know the FMI portion of the fault code to determine how it is failing.

    Looks like you are going to need an entire rotating group, swashplate and likely bearings and seal kit. This is a Sauer Danfoss pump and parts should be pretty easy to come by. Any respectable hydraulic repair should be able to help. Don't forget to go through the drive motor(s) too.

    Did you inspect the fitters when you removed them? Was there any signs of the filter media breaking down? It sounds more like the brake/fan pump P6 is having issues. It could be the regulator PWM2602 sticking from contamination or swash plate could be binding. Any issues with Fan speed?

    AS stated restriction is minimal. The benefit is that in the event of a failure or as wear occurs it keeps it from contaminating the rest of the hydraulic system. It is conceivable that a $1000 motor could cause $100k+ worth of damage to an excavator.

    Every excavator I have worked on has the case drains routed through a case drain filter. They are not routed through the return filter. Case drain volume is very low and delta P across the filter is minimal. Delta P across the return filter can well exceed 30-50psi.

    If you are stalling it in manual mode, unless someone has modified the wiring to bypass the resistors, You most likely have an engine issue. That or the pump regulators are stuck at full stroke all the time or someone has messed with the regulator adjustments.
