    If it a Komatsu dozer the pilot pump is on the rear of your engine and if the seal on the input shaft goes bad hyd oil will get in the oil.

    We recommend EP gear lube in the finals after you get some hours on machine! And for the transfer case stick with 30 or 15/40.

    If a piston seal is out you can tell by taking a heat gun to the cylinder. Remember any hydraulic oil that is not doing work will make heat!

    Thanks I found my problem! The swash plate on the rear pump is hanging up! The pump is a KAWASAKI TYPE: K3V. Im going to try to find rebuild parts! Any know a good supplier?

    Like DK88 said "check dozer" If the Komatsu dealer keeps the doser nozzle clean from carbon/soot you should have no problems !Do you have a turbo 2 air precleaner on your 500? We put them on all are quarry machines!

    I don't know but you will void the warranty! Are you using ULSD? Idle a lot? You still using KAC Low Ash Oil? I work at a Komatsu dealer and I run into some Tier 4 problems sometimes!

    Ok thanks Old Wrench the engine is running fine turbo spulls up with some black smoke. RPM,s are at max .Hydraulic pump seems to pull the engine down to almost stull speed?
