Gotta love them high sand edges! I've had a lead scraper do that to me a few times. "Just seein if you're on the ball" he'd say....

I'm told the scraper fleet is around 40 right now plus a few parts machines. The bosses are buying more every week it seems like. Our estimators are keeping everything good and busy this year though, which is a nice change from last year. Sureway is a big outfit, but we'll give them a run for...

Sounds like you've worked for the dirt mafia before 245dlc! Or are we getting a reputation? hahaha!:D

    627 b

If you kept the block on you could shove your 21s with it. (Assuming you have a skilled, careful operator on it.)

    grader men

I have to say that a good blade man is a scraperhand's best friend for sure. I've learned alot from the grader operators over my few years on a scraper. The scraper guys teach tricks for running a scraper, whereas a graderman teaches how to work with the material, and also how to work with the...

Best bang for buck scraper ?

Pretty sure there are no scraperhands that listen to ballet music @ work! Or at home for that matter.

    punk loader abuse

When I got on my first piece of equipment I considered it a privilege that anyone trusted me with something that costs so much money. That kind of abuse is just uncalled for. Someone should have taught this guy the meaning of the word "Respect"

    Some of my stuff

Do you get alot of buggy work around there? I know there are alot of gravel pits out that way, and the county doesn't have any scrapers of their own. Would love to see some better pics of the buggies. They look like nice units.

the Hamptons on 199th st. is where all that fun stuff is. They want to go down 2.20m at the deepest cut stake, but somehow I don't think we're going to get there with the scrapers, unless we wait until it's good and frozen.

A few pics of what I did today. Trying to dig a drainage swale with 2 627G's. The only other iron besides scrapers was a gutless, beat down old D5. The engineer said it was good dirt! They even dug test holes!!!:Pointhead

Sureway was right beside us on that job in Acheson. They should know there wont be much to buy out in a couple of years if Map keeps up what they're doing. We're losing motors left right and centre on the Henday, but thats what happens when you only have 2 mechanics to try and keep up equipment...
