    Cat 955L vs Komatsu D57s

    Anybody know if the undercarriage is the same on these tractors? We have a 955l and it needs rails, found a blown up d57s with 95% undercarriage for a song. Thought for sure I could use the rails and pads. Any help is appreciated!

    Terex TS14B Main pin bottom bushing falling out.

    Main neck pin has a bushing in the bottom that has fallen out. Previous owner got it back in but I'm sure it will fall down again, Gonna weld a strap on it to hold it in until we can get it in the shop. Anybody ever put one in? Looks like it could be a pain to do. Any advice appreciated!

    Cat 955L right won't pull.

    Got a 955L 85J series and the right side won't pull. Just drags right side and does a circle. Backed off the right brake and it will freewheel. Got it on lowboy and to shop, jacked her up and it won't pull forward or reverse. Where do I start?

    D8H grease fitting

    Just bought a D8H 46a tractor today. I had one about 10 yrs ago and I can't remember but do they not have a grease fitting on each side near the sprocket to grease that big bearing on the axle shaft? I thought most older oval track dozes have them. Our D6D and D7F do.

    Will a landfill compactor work in dirt well?

    Looking at some compactors and found a good buy on a landfill machine. Its got the tall kind of narrow feet I assume for chopping trash. Will those feet work on dirt? I assume you can get decent results with enough passes, just wondering if anybody is familiar with this?

    What to look for when buying used dozer.

    Looking at buying a D9G later this week. Any quick checklist ya'll may use when you look at a tractor to purchase. I can handle some basic checks like blowby, bubbles in coolant, run a magnet in final drive oil...anybody got anything I should look out for in these big tractors?
