How much trouble to put gauges on my D6H ??

I had the dozer in the dealer shop two years ago to get new bottom rollers put on and track frames rebuilt. Had the dealer put all the gauges in, they did a nice job and they work well. Had the equalizer bar bushings and pins replaced. Engine and trans seems to be working well for a 31 year...

I have a D6H serial 1KD 04383 with that very arrangement on the tilt hoses. I have never seen another D6H with that arrangement.

    Bought a D6H dozer..........

Nige, I had the D6H in the shop last winter, it has the full set of gauges now, all working properly. The dozer is running as it should. I sent it in because I knew I had at least two bottom roller bearings completely shot, turns out that 6 of the 16 were sloppy shot. Got all 16 new bottom...

    Bought a D6H dozer..........

Here's a link to a sale happening near here (Udall, Kansas) Saturday April 23. There is an R2 Cat crawler, a 16 grader and a D5B dozer that someone might be interested in. The owner ran Cat equipment in California for years before moving back to Kansas in the Late 1980s. He had some really nice...

    Brand New Cat Undercarriage Problems

My D6H was built as an LGP dozer and was switched over to 20 inch tracks before I bought it. I can't see any issues with the narrower tracks, those are the ones I wanted. An advantage is, I can get between the tracks and the engine compartment to work on things there. Otherwise you have to lay...

Help!!! New Cat 120M motor grader won't stay running

Finally got the filters changed and got it running about 3 PM today. Didn't change the filter behind the engine. It got up to 21 here today, so I'm sure that helped. Of course it only stayed running after the Cat tech showed up. It had 911 in the filters and the tank, hopefully it got fully...

Help!!! New Cat 120M motor grader won't stay running

Record cold temps here in south central Kansas, it has been to 16 below, it's about 10 above right now. We have winter bland fuel in the grader, block heater plugged in. Operator has been fighting for two day trying to get the grader to KEEP running. Grader starts right up, runs about 30-45...

How much trouble to put gauges on my D6H ??

Yep..........there is three spaces on the dash for the normal placement of the gauges. I can cut the holes myself. Also thinking of installing an oil pressure gauge where I can see it, I bet I can find a place.

How much trouble to put gauges on my D6H ??

Well, this dozer was built in Japan, so I guess they didn't think they were important. And yep, I would think an oil pressure gauge would be at the top of the list.

How much trouble to put gauges on my D6H ??

I must have one of the only dozers with NO gauges. My D6H Serial 1KD04383 has all of the trouble lights and the hour meter, but no gauges. I have seen dozens of photos of D6s and ALL of them have the coolant temp gauge, trans temp gauge and hydraulic temp gauge. The space is in my dash for...

    Bought a D6H dozer..........

Adding to my post above. I have had my D6H now a little over a month, been either too wet or too cold to use it yet. I have found out a few things while washing it up and changing all the filters and the engine oil. None of the fluids were lower than the add mark, the hydraulic and trans...

    John Deere 544H oil drain??

Called the dealer yesterday, he talked like their was a remote drain. If so it is well hidden.

    John Deere 544H oil drain??

None that I can see anywhere.

    John Deere 544H oil drain??

Needing to drain the oil on my 1998 544H loader. Of course the owners manual has every detail except the drain. Serial DWS544HX567468 I can see the plug while laying on the ground under the belly pan, there is not enough room to get my hand between the pan and the axel and get any leverage to...
