Vancouver Island, BC. Logging at its Best!

Can't remember the dates or names off-hand but was posted on Facebook a while ago and someone confirmed it to be real with a date, location, and name of the driver. I'll have to poke around and see if I can dig up the specifics.

Hey Larry good to see you on here! This is Blake's buddy Andy. I've been working for Benwest for a while now and I believe they still have both yarders listed here. I'll have to check the VIN plates when I see GY1 (7280C) and GY3 (7280B) again, but I usually work on GY2 (7280C) so here's the VIN...

Here's an American 7675 line loader sitting in camp here in Stafford Lake. Has a 6-71 Detroit, but not sure what's in the car body. We also have an 1825-C, was bought new in 1981 or 1982 I was told. Not sure what it has for power as there's a tarp over the engine, but looks like a either a 6-71...

Some photos of the 7280C that I chase on, it's a 1988 and has a KTA525 Cummins. The one with the black boom is a 7280B that our crew fills in on sometimes, I think it's a 1985 and also has a KTA. As an added bonus here's a hat I bought recently.

    Mack CL350 ST logging truck

Here's some photos of the CL350's we have in camp at Stafford Lake. The other 3 are currently in Warner Bay. The green and yellow one on the first page is out there and hasn't changed much, very well kept trucks.

    Mack CL350 ST logging truck

A bit late, but I work for Bendickson currently and we've got 4 or maybe 5 CL350's. Once they let us back into the bush I'll get some pictures of them and report back here. All still going strong as of earlier this year, I believe one of them has a Rolls Royce in it as well.

Not the best photo, but here's one I took from the back end in Nahmint of the 009 I broke in on in 2020.

Logging Accidents: And They Walked Away.........

Yes this is all correct, I know the driver. He started losing brakes and put er in the ditch at like 4mph. Suffered just a couple scrapes on the truck and some broken water tank bolts.

Cypress 6280 I found on the weekend in the Squamish valley. Pretty sure there's a few more of this machine in here, looks like it just got a fresh coat of paint.

Logging jobs, help wanted & guys available post here!

First time posting in the forum although been spending a whole lot of time the past few months poking around the equipment section. Thought about making a new thread but figured I'd pop in here first. I was born and raised in Campbell River BC in a mill family and I'm 25 now. Might even be some...
