    Cat paver bearings

    Anyone able to purchase the common wear bearings from somewhere other then cat? I priced some out today and they want 700-900 for some of the auger/drag chain bearings. I can get all of them but about 3 elsewhere for far far less but they sure seem to kill you on the ones you can't get anywhere...

    I have removed the drag chains from a 1055 however I am wondering if anyone knows of a chart or anything I can use to measure the amount of life left in the chains? I have heard measuring 10 links will give you enough.

    John Deere 1988 570B drive chain replacement

    When servicing a 570B grader I noticed the drive chains were worn and in need of replacement however I am unsure of how to change them. Is there any special tools or tricks to changing these? I don't have the service manual or anything.

    Pulverizer drums

    I have heard rumour that there is a "soil" drum and an "asphalt" drum for them but I have never seen or noticed any difference on the machines i have seen. However i noticed on a RS-600 there is no curb scratchers? Maby they had been burnt off?
