    Variable undercarriages and transportation

I guess I can play in this topic. A Variable Gauge U/C can either help you, harm you, or not benefit for you at all. It can help you if the width sucks in enough. For example we have a 95 ton drill rig that we move quite often when business is good. The tracks suck in from ( I'm guestimating...

    Grove 7550 Set-Up **video**

Pretty cool Steve ! I was near that job on Tuesday night in the city. Will you be traveling to Middletown, New York to see the beast reach and pick those bridge beams ? Friend of mine from the race team works for the town up there and told me it was at the job and set-up already.

tower pics from a scared "Q"

Well it looks like we found Q's weakness. Our solution to his forum bashing is to threaten him with a tower crane.

    Various Move Pictures

Yeah we may get away with alot but the key is always to look good when you're going down the road and you have a better chance of getting away with it. All of it is not 100% legal I'll admit, but it's been going on for such a long time so some people tend to think it is. We drove past an open...

    Various Move Pictures

You guys are good. It is infact a 245. We do own trailers big enough to haul it in one piece, but I don't know if it would be practical. The weight would be no problem. It's the height that would get us, unless we stretched the stick and bucket out the back end of the trailer ( which use to be...

    The Fleet

The old DM800 ( the ex. W.J. Casey rig ) was sold and went overseas sometime in the early 90's. I'm not old enough to remember this truck, but I've seen tons of pictures of it and one day I'll get around to scanning them....

Heavy Haul Lowboy Tractor RD 822s

That is a beautiful find my friend. I bet that Mack V8 would run right next to the N-14. That truck will sure as hell get the job done ! What trailer does it pull ? Again, beautiful rig !

    Just a Small Video...

Ahh yes, backing out of that job was a little hairy. I don't quite remember but I believe the wires went up over the gantry of the crane causing no harm. There are some cases where people have held wires up for us, or like Q-ball inferred, 2x4's. This is a common method when moving Transformers...

    The Fleet

Thanks for the comments guys. Steve, Brutus does indeed have headlights from an older Pete 357. The load is a Manitowoc 4100 with the main weight still on, rated somewhere near 112 tons. We have moved them with full weights ( weighing around 175 ton ), but only for short distances. Nedly05...
