    why is your primary filter seal , so dirty, when you show the inside, that seal compress againts, the chamber wall and it is tight, unless you using the wrong filter.

    It looks like that track is too loose and the idler is too far up front in order to fix this track, the best solution is to remove one of the links, and by looking at your final drive, you need need sprockets.

    In Georgia we used 50w for the swing and the finals per cat specs, you are in canada and who knows what type oil gear oil you will used.

    Fiive hours is not bad, that is about 10 hours all together, I used to do 953 by myself in seven hours, if you had all the parts, new tracks, rollers, all the segments, the carrier roller and the idler with the new seals, all this parts setting next the machine.

    Have someone inspect the tracks while you move it backwards. it maybe the the shoes hitting a wearstrip, if your idler is bad it will make the same noise going forward or reverse.

    The biggest problems with turbos are operators error, let the machine on iddle for few seconds before shut it down, once you shut the engine off the turbo still turning at a very high speed with no oil and causes the the turbo seals to burn and course oil will blow out of the muffler.

    Try to warn up the hyd oil, maybe the seal is just leaking for lack of use, and when you park the machine. turn the key on and release the pressure for that particular cylinder.

    It is very difficult to get metal in the tank, since all the hyd system only have return filters, I said you need a complete flush, and take the sos sample to the cat lab, they wil find if the metal came from any component like the pump or any valve, this component are made from different...
