    Cutting Shoes Shorter

In my part of the country we experience a lot of wet conditions. In my opinion a non LGP dozer is useless in what i have to deal with. Not only are they good in wet areas but are great for slope work. Use what you have. The advantages will at least negate the extra wear you are expecting

    dual plane laser grading

mcnitttj8 I own a level best with dual receivers . I run mine on a John Deere 4320 tractor, it is a 7' 3-point hitch model. If the grade is within .10-.20' I can do up to 50,000 square feet in a 10 hour day. The wheels on the 3-point hitch models are in the rear on mine, they can be a pain...

    Case Maxi-Sneaker

GMC DRIVER I used to operate a Maxi-Sneaker for plowing pipe and wire on Golf Course Irrigation jobs. We pulled mostly 2" PVC at a depth of 14-18". In hard compact soils it was tough to get those depths, lots of times on new construction jobs the top 3-4" of soil was loose and the machine...

    dual plane laser grading

Matt It would make sense to do it that way but I don't own a dozer, I have to rent. However not sure what the tolerances are on a dozer automatic setup. My box blade will do +/- 1/4". GPS machine control and a new dozer is on my wish list

    dual plane laser grading

I have a 7' 3-point hitch laser box blade that I use on my John Deere 4320 tractor. I mainly use it to laser grade tees on golf courses, but have also done considerable work on sports fields also. This box blade has dual controls which is especially handy. The receivers can be used for manual...

Star Wars!- laser grading and excavating

Andrew I do quite a bit of laser grading on Golf Courses and athletic fields. The equipment is very expensive but the results you get from it can't be matched. Laser grading isn't all that new but convincing people to spend the extra money is the hardest part...

    What laser should I get?

Andrew I've never been in a situation where I needed more than 10%. The slope lasers are great for pipe work, just set the desired slope and the receiver one time and you are good to go. That is assuming you are going in a straight line. The reason I went with Topcon is that my laser...

    What laser should I get?

SpectraPrecision and Topcon are the two best in my opinion. I recently bought a Topcon RL-H2sa Dual Plane laser from Bunce Positioning in Stow,MA. I do laser grading so I needed the dual plane. There are much less expensive lasers on the market that will do a good job also
