I have a JD 410 and it has always had a 2 ft. bucket. I have recently been looking for a 12" trenching bucket but want to make sure I understand how it is mounted to the boom before I purchase one. The 1 3/4" boom pin distance between the ears is 8 1/4" and that part I understand. What I need help with is explaining how the second pin from cylinder (1 1/2" dia.) hooks up with the links. The links for the second hole must go on the outside of the ears on the trenching bucket but I am not sure. I checked diagram on JD site and it is not clear. Can someone let me know how they hook their trench bucket up. A picture would be appreciated. This is assuming the bucket is made for 310/410 tractors of this same vintage.

Thanks
