We are having trouble with the transmission on an ’86 Fiat Allis FD5. Initially, the machine suddenly lost all forward movement, only reverse (all 3 ranges) worked. Removing and adjusting the linkage produced no result. After sitting a week, we were about to move it for further diagnostics and suddenly forward was fully operational. The unit continued to run and work perfectly for a few weeks when reverse movement was suddenly lost. We have tried readjusting the linkage but still no reverse. Can anyone provide help with this problem?
