310 front axel building pressure

Hi everyone
I have a JD 310sg backhoe, I was checking the oil level in the front axel and noticed that it is under pressure when I removed the plug .
Is this normal or should this axel be vented ? I am guessing the vent is plugged ? Does anyone know where this vent is located ?
