well this year its cleaning the old river bottom, taking a foot of materail out then putting a foot back...i think i remember hearing the army corp came in in the 70s and moved the river over away from the property some ...and were the river is now we'll be digging in next year cleaning the bottom of that, i think its like a 3000 foot run, then putting a slurry wall along the bank

Is this the rechannel work in Wellsville,NY you started last year? I live about 30 miles east of there. Since I quit farming have not had much need to head that way recently. I read they are trying to increase the volume the river can pass through the town and improve the fish habitat.

yea this the project i was on last year, but no its not what your talking about . its on the old sinclair refinery property and its cleaning the ground water and the river work is removing the soil along the genesse river along the property .....

heres a pics of the ground water ....they ran a trench 3300ft along the river on the first phase of the project thats around 30 ft down that catches the ground water before it get in the river.....its mostly iron which is naturally in the soil here but u can see the oils floating , the iron is supposed to settle in this pond then the oils get seperated in the rest of the system and then clean water is discharged to the river
