For what it isn't worth -- if any of your friends are wrenches, have them check with their tool-truck guys and see what trade-ins and rebuilds are around. If you aren't in a hurry, you can get some decent deals for how much you'll use it. I got a Snap-On XT7100 with a fresh rebuild & rubber boot for $125 a couple months ago, love how it spins lugnuts off my SuperDuty.

The IR guns are very good, buy one if you have the money, you wont be disappointed.
The last one I bought was an SK Pro Gun. Same specs as the IR ti series. Has been a good impact. No problems with it to date. It was about $180 shipped to my doorstep from tooltopia.com

I use an MG725. Has lots of power and works very nice but I keep reading about people grenading them. It also spins so fast that when using an extension or toque stick, it kind of becomes painful when free spinning the nuts on. They come with a 2 year warrenty. After that its like $150 or $175 to fix it, flat rate, doesnt matter if its a $2 fix of $400 fix you pay the flat rate. Its sometimes a good deal and sometimes not. The IR Ti gun is very nice as well. CP has a new gun thats nice, the Earthquake surprised me with its power and speed.

A mistake a lot people make with rattle wrenches is the hose size they try and use to small of a hose and complain about the impact not being any good.

Same goes for using air swivels on certain brands of impact wrenches. I started using air swivels on all of my air tools several years ago and I would be lost without them. But I had several 1/2'' impact wrenches that I bought from my snap on dealer that where just flat out weak. After arguing with my snap on rep for quite a while he determined that my problem was the air swivels that I had been getting from him. All of my other brands of impact wrenches worked perfectly with the swivels. But he claimed that the snap on brand air guns needed more air volume then you could get through the swivels. So seeing I was unhappy with the impact wrenches and the fact that I refused to use his guns without the air swivels on them he did go ahead and give me my all of my money back on the air guns.

In a van, down by the river
I just got my MG725 back from getting repaired. It didn't grenade but had a stuck vane. The 2 year warranty is good but i am lucky that my company pays to repair our air tools.

While it was out i dug out my spare bluepoint and used that, then it too let go. I dug really deep into the bottom draw and found my old IR2120, pushed the broken trigger back in and used that.
