Since purchase we have had a loose joystick that doesn't automatically return to the neutral position. The engine revs unusually (pulsing) when idling and in operation. We replaced the governer and still had no change. Believe the engine is Cummins B4.5-80C.

When the joystick finally gave up, we ordered new and tried to replace. Upon replacement the machine wouldn't run and the engine shut off after approx 1 min, leading us to assume that the new joystick was prompting the ECU to shut down the machine.

The Bomag technician diaganosed the problem as a defective fuel pump (spring in pump) and diagnosed to replace. Given the machine is only 500 hrs old (2016 model) we are reluctant to replace without second opinion.
