I have bomag with duetz 2 cylinder diesel. The engine will not turn over and it has sheared off the four bolts on the flywheel. Does this indicate that crankshaft is gone

So this thing has the flywheel and starter on back, and a pulley on the front of the crankshaft? Does the engine turn over by turning the belt and pulley by hand?

Could be that the bolts were too tight or loose and broke without causing much other damage. Doesn't look good though.

how did you find the broken fly wheel bolts? did you separate the hyd pump from the engine? just curious if the engine is seized or the pump seized. I would try turning the engine from the front and see what happens. sometimes you can put a prybar under the flywheel or front pulley and pry upwards to tell if the crank is broke.
