Changing the lever pattern on an old PC80-3

Ok, I'm stumped. I looked all over the machine, in the manual, in the operators guide but couldn't find how to change the pattern from SAE to ISO. The pattern is opposite to what its supposed to be in the manual and a simple hose swap won't work. Neither will fiddling with the linkage rods.
1986 PC80-3 (non-pilot, linkage controls)
