MCM Management Corp. (mcmdemo.com) out of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan is a world class industrial services company that specializes in industrial demolition, equipment rental, asbestos abatement, and metals recycling.

Their most current project, the demolition of the 2.4 million square foot Chrysler South Assembly Plant in Fenton, Missouri officially commenced on the morning of October 1st, 2010.

MCM's utilizes a fleet of U.S. built Caterpillar heavy equipment, mounted with an assortment of CAT and Stanley LaBounty demolition attachments.

Built in 1959 the Fenton South Assembly Plant produced many of the classic MOPAR Hemi Muscle cars of the late 60's and early 70's.
The last vehicle to roll off the assembly line was in 2008.

Demolition completion is estimated for late winter 2011.

MCM is probably doing the job for the scrap. A lot of demo companies do that. Testa did that at the GM plant in Linden, NJ

Chrysler no longer owns the property. The land and all its contents, including the building was sold to a third party entity. They, in turn, hired MCM to wreck the building and make the site ready for development.

Demolition is not just about wrecking a building. There is hazardous waste remediation, structural demolition, raw materials recycling, site prep and delivery.

When scrap prices were at an all time high in January of 2008 and Testa Corp. was wrecking the GM Plant in Linden it proved to be a very lucrative proposition. They did not however, just roll in the machines and man-power and wreck the building for the scrap value.

In the last year, however, wrecking a building in trade for retaining the sale of the scrap was probably more of common practice just to stay afloat in this slumbering economy.
