we did not push the trees over, a guy who wanted the logs pushed the trees over, and cut off the branches and stumps, they were around 3 and 4 feet diameter, about 60 trees, there will be more in the next stage, the area is mostly cleared has been farm land for a long time.no burning here, massive fines, we will put it through the grinder and they are using the mulch for landscaping. the first stage of the subdivision is next to the track, the track will keep operating till the end of this year. How many trees did you push over, Pete? How big were they? Do you get to burn any of it, or how are you gonna get rid of the debris?
Are you gonna get to demo the rest of the track too, or just the trees?
Some memories there.[/QUOTE
there sure are, i first went there to watch racing in the late sixties, i lived at luddenham only about 15 klms up the road from oran park, went there last year to see the V8 supercars race there for the last time, a great day. my memories of oran park are good, raced there a few times and never crashed, have done lots of laps around there doing ride days taking people for hot laps..

I remember watching Mike Dowson on a practice day trying to ride a TZ 750 there, what a wild machine. I also saw AJ there a couple of times and Wayne Gardiner many times. I made it to B Grade at Oran. It was not my favourite place to ride but I sure had some good times there.
i was in to watching car races more than bikes, not my favourite track either, lots of very hard things to hit if you make a mistake, and the flip flop, that is scary enough in a car , would be terrifying on a bike.I remember watching Mike Dowson on a practice day trying to ride a TZ 750 there, what a wild machine.
