I am looking into starting a new business venture, custom grinding. Does anyone have positives or negatives they can share? Is there a market for this? What equipment would you recomend?( I am looking at a track driven horizontal grinder, 200-300 size excavator with aux hyd) Who do you sell the green waste to? How do you price the jobs? By the hour, amount of material grinded? Amount of land cleared? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well i worked 5 yrs with a Diamond Z tub grinder, we used a Deere 230clc with hyd thumb to load it with, and 644j to push piles of trees closer to you. We charged by the acre, if we cleared the land, and hourly if the trees were taken down already.

We sold the chips to cogenaration plants who burned them to make power.
