bought a #410 dominion for placer mining [needs work] someone told me american was the same machine? looking for a manual for it as well as any history on these machines

I sure can't help you. A quick search for Dominion didn't show much. It's likely that anything you need to replace will have to be a substitute part, or something adapted from another crane. You may have to have some items custom fabricated.

Dominion Engineering Works of Lachine, Quebec was Canada's crane and shovel manufacturer. The company, originally known as Dominion Hoist and Shovel, later the Power Crane and Shovel Division of Dominion Engineering, produced a full line of crawler, truck mounted and rail mounted cranes and shovels. Dominion shovel-cranes were popular with Canada's railways.

any one heard this? aprox 1968 american crane bought out dominion? any ways still looking for a manual !!
