Have a D6N had low oil pressure, pulled down changed pump to upgraded style. Now will not turn over. Sounds like it locking up. Oil pump lined up perfectly, filled with new oil went to start and nothing.

have you tried turning it by hand If it had low oil pressure chances are it could of spun a main bearing
No, we found the problem the SIS has the incorrect oil pump listed the crank shaft was hitting the base of the pump. Now for CAT to figure out which pump we need. Since the old pump was superseded to this number. Thank you for your assistance.

Perkapillar.
Still reckon cat got ripped off.
I think before they were sold Perkins were well regarded. Other manufacturers such as Isuzu used Perkins engineering and test labs for developing their own engines. I have no complaints with the AD3-152 in my MF135. Most reliable machine I have and it was made in Dec. 1964.
