Engine looks like it was upgraded from points style ignition. Attached is pic of what mine looks like. What is the item called in the right side of pic. The circular part? I see it has a magnetic pickup instead of points. The circular part on mine is cracked but there are no numbers to go off.

are you referring to an OLIVER 1600? WAUKESHA engine? there was an electronic ignition distributor conversion available from the dealers about 30 years ago and this is likely one of them. the part appears to be the pick-up/module assy. but i do not recall the manufacturer of the distributor (mallory ?). the dist was changed when the shaft and housing bushings got worn out. i would contact an AGCO dealer and see if any parts are available or if you would have to find another distributor. i seem to recall a service/parts bulletin back in the day but that was in the paper days so i don't know if anything is available in their electronic system. if you can find a grey-haired parts person who worked at a White Farm Equipment dealer back about 35 years ago, they may know

The problem is that is not the original distributor. It looks to be aluminum and the original would likely have been cast iron- likely a delco

Here's a pic of setup bought a brand new distributor. Uses a magnetic pickup.
