Hey everyone we have a Hitachi UH083 excavator the rear pump did a bearing

Hello everyone we have a UH083 Hitachi excavator the rear pump stopped working we found a collapsed bearing in the pump we replaced everything in the pump and put it back on the machine but still it doesn't work our question is can we isolate the rear pump hook a splitter hose up to the front pump and run all the hydraulic operations of just one pump thank you for any help

Budget for taking 4 times longer on jobs and the possibility of 2 new pumps.
Was the repaired pump filled with oil before starting the machine or did you fire it up with the pump dry?

Pumps should have all the air bleed out of them prior to starting. Failure to do so destroys the internals quick smart. So pump out and rebuild IMHO.
