Checking out a machine online...05 JD 310SG...Everything pretty good except for Engine code F9C4...Inspector indicated smoky when starting but mostly cleared after engine warmed...Any of you JD guys know this one or have the code book?...

Anybody!!!

Just looking at machines...I don't want to buy the code book...local JD guys are trying to sell me all kinds of overpriced machines or I'd ask them...

Not sure if you still need the info, but that code is for a CAN communication error. Messages are not being received from the engine control unit.
